Dr. Juan Villagomez was CaLMA's founding member and a highly respected physician throughout California.  In his name we honor Latino meritorious medical students in California.  Throughout the years CaLMA has provided over $100,000 in medical scholarships and hopes to establish an endowment that will facilitate financial assistance to our applicants.  CaLMA works closely with organized groups, such as LMSA and other minority student associations to develop a mentoring and scholarship pipeline for all students.  To apply please click here to download an application.  Submit your completed application and all the required documents by fax to (323) 266-2453 or by mail to the address shown on the application.  Note deadlines and funding cycles on the application.

Blue Cross of CA Foundation / CaLMA Hispanic Nursing Scholarship Program

The Blue Cross of CA / CaLMA Hispanic Nursing Scholarship program was established with a generous grant from the Blue Cross of California Foundation.  A one million dollar grant established a program that provides thousands of dollars to Hispanic meritorious nursing students.  Students may apply in every available cycle.  Awards are given to pre-nursing, nursing, and post-nursing (FNP, NP, BSN, MSN, PhD) students.  To apply please click here to download an application.  Submit your completed application and all the required documents by fax to (323) 266-2453 or by mail to the address shown on the application.  Note deadlines and funding cycles on the application.
